Rosemary is married to Nick, a solicitor. They have two children and two grandchildren. Rosemary’s family have always been involved in politics and her father was an Alderman of Croydon.
Rosemary worked for Milton Keynes Development Corporation in the 1970s as a part time Community Worker and then as an Educational Social Worker at various schools in Milton Keynes. In 1986 she joined the Northamptonshire Probation Service working as a Probation Officer in the Crown Courts and the Court Welfare Service.
In 1977,Rosemary was elected to represent Towcester on the County Council and has held the seat since then. She has held a variety of positions within the Council and was recently Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Services. She has been Deputy Chairman of the Council and in May 2010 was elected as Chairman of the Council..
Rosemary now represents the Council on the governors of Northampton General Hospital. She was elected to represent South Northamptonshire on the Northampton Healthcare Trust which cares for those with Learning Disabilities and mental illness.
