Robin is married with two children and two grandchildren and has lived in the County for close to 25 years, his children being educated at local schools.
He was a senior executive in the shoe industry for 35 years and is now retired.
Elected to the County Council at a by-election in May 2003, he has been actively involved as a member of Finance & Resources and the Health and Social Care Scrutiny Committees. He is the Council's Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Services. He attends many of the Parish and Town Council meetings and is very aware of the issues affecting the citizens of his largely rural area.
Until elected as a County Councillor, Robin was a Parish Councillor and Chairman on the Governing Body of the local Junior School and continues today as a Governor.
Robin is a member of the Daventry Local Strategic Partnership.
His interests include an enthusiasm for playing golf, learning to play bridge to a higher standard and spending time with his family.
