Alan moved to Daventry from Essex 34 years ago.
Alan has worked in Sales, Marketing and Training.
Elected as a District Councillor for Daventry in May 2002, he is the Chief Whip to the Conservative Group and is also the Community Portfolio Holder. Elected to the Town Council in 2003, he became Mayor for the years 2004 to 2005.
In 2005, Alan was elected as a County Councillor for the first time, representing Daventry East. Within the County Council, he is a member of the Children’s Scrutiny Committee, the Community Services Scrutiny Committee and Daventry Area Committee. Alan is also a Governor for two schools.
Alan was the Chair of South Northants Football League and Daventry Juniors and now mainly watches football and cricket on television.
