David Hugheston-Roberts is the County Councillor for the West Hunsbury ward. For the last seven years, he has lived in West Hunsbury and before that lived in the village of Gayton for 32 years.
David is a member of Upton Parish Council.
Always keen on protecting the environment, he served on the Executive of the Northamptonshire Branch of the C.P.R.E. In addition, he is a founder member of the Nene Flood Prevention Alliance and a founder member of the Banbury Lane Residents Association.
He was for many years a Director and later a Managing Director of a Northampton firm of Timber Importers. This job took him to many corners of the world in order to purchase renewable timber and timber products.
As a County Councillor, David is Deputy Chair of the Children Scrutiny Committee and is a member of Overview Committee.
His main County Council interests are Environmental matters and Children’s Services.
