Councillor Belinda Humfrey

Belinda’s career has been in teaching, research, and management at the universities of Oxford, Reading, and Wales, lecturing at universities throughout Europe, publishing as a writer and editor. Belinda has also worked for the community as a governor of Havelock Junior School, the founding chair of Desborough Youth Action Group, which built and runs the skate park and chair of Desborough Community Transport, which provides mini bus mobility to a variety of groups. Belinda is interested in the built and natural environment and is Chair of Desborough Civic Society and the Millennium Green Trust. Elected as a Conservative County Councillor in May 2005 for the division of Desborough, Belinda is a member of the Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee.
