Ursula has lived and worked in the Kettering for more than thirty years. She has two adult daughters, both of whom were educated at schools in the Borough of Kettering. Her working life has been spent at Tresham Institute, over twenty years lecturing, and latterly as the Institute Funding Development Manager.
Ursula works as an ISO systems auditor on a self employed basis. Her interests range from local heritage to conservation and environmental issues.
Ursula was elected as Borough Councillor for Pipers Hill Ward Kettering in May 2003, and has been an active local councillor since this date.
She is also a Community Governor for Isebrook School Kettering and a Governor for Latimer Community Arts College Kettering.
Ursula is keen to ensure that her experience as an active Councillor is used to the benefit of all the residents within the Wicksteed Division. She is determined to keep Kettering’s needs and aspirations at the centre of the County Council’s agenda and will work tirelessly towards this end.
Elected as a Conservative County Councillor in May 2005 for the Wicksteed division, Ursula has served on the Environment and Transport scrutiny committee before being appointed to the Cabinet in May 2007.
Ursula’s interests as a County Councillor include the environment and associated issues such as the efficient disposal of waste, and the preservation of our natural country side.
