Councillor Michael Clarke

I have lived in Denton for the past 25 years with my wife, who is American born, and our two daughters, Hillary and Alison. My background is in international trade. Following Manchester University, I joined the Courtauld Group. I worked worked and lived in France and Germany for five years and developed fluency in both French and German. Using knowledge of the markets and cultures I started my own export services business in 1979. Our aim is to help Northamptonshire companies launch and market their products/services in the main European markets. Wanting to make a contribution and help local people in getting efficient delivery of Council services were principle reasons for offering myself as a candidate. Having been elected, I hope I will be able to achieve these goals. I have a broad range of interests in Council services with education and the environment being near the top of this list. I enjoy village life and we are active in the local community. My main hobby is making wine. "Chateau Clarke". Probably the finest home-made wine in Northamptonshire!
