What is Overview and Scrutiny?

Overview & Scrutiny is about providing ideas, challenge and debate that contributes to making Northamptonshire an excellent place to live and work. Northamptonshire County Council has five scrutiny committees, which carry out this role by conducting scrutiny reviews into issues affecting the county; contributing to the development and review of policies; monitoring performance; and holding decision-makers to account. To find out more about the membership and meetings of each scrutiny committee, and to view agendas, reports and minutes, please use the menu below. Some of our meetings are now webcast live.
