Cllr Robin Brown is married with two children and four grandchildren and has lived in Northamptonshire for over 30 years, his children and grandchildren being educated at local schools.  He was a senior executive in the shoe industry for 35 years and is now retired.

Robin was elected to Northamptonshire County Council at a by-election in May 2003 and since then has been actively involved as a member of Finance & Resources and the Health and Social Care Scrutiny Committees prior to the current administration taking Control.

Robin served as the council's Cabinet Member for Finance and LGSS from 2016-2018, having previously been responsible for Adult Social Services 2009-2013 and Public Health & Wellbeing 2013 -2016.

He attends many of the Parish and Town Council meetings and is very aware of the issues affecting the citizens of his largely rural area of Woodford and Weedon division.

Until elected as a County Councillor, Robin was a Parish Councillor and Chairman on the Governing Body of Long Buckby Junior School and continues today as a Governor.
